LARKSPUR — A tight second set against Redwood capped off a momentous season for girls junior varsity volleyball.

The 13-25, 23-25 game for Branson showed the skills the team had developed over the past two months. A slow first set gave way to an exciting second set. Near the end, the junior Bulls came within a point of tying the Larkspur team.

The team showed tremendous growth over the course of the season. Though the Redwood game ended a five-win streak, it marked an exciting bookend to the season, coach Lynn Stein said.

“Even though we lost, it was incredible. It was so close. Last year, we didn’t get this close at all.”
