Clubs add an exciting layer to a student’s high school experience, offering students spaces to pursue passions, connect with peers and engage in activities beyond the classroom. With one or two clubs blocks each week, students have the opportunity to explore over 65 different clubs at Branson.
For animal enthusiasts, the Guide Dogs for the Blind Club provides a chance to learn about the guide dogs on campus. Athletes looking for fun and fitness can join the Ultimate Frisbee Club, where all skill levels are welcome to play, learn strategy and compete. If you enjoy hands-on creativity, Branson’s makerspace, Bull Works, offers access to various tools like laser cutters and 3D printers, allowing you to bring your inventive ideas to life. For those passionate about the environment, the Environmental Action Committee, helps Branson become a more sustainable campus.
As a ninth-grader, it might be tempting to use your clubs block for studying or hanging out with friends; however, instead of skipping these clubs blocks, consider exploring the clubs available to you. You have the chance to be part of something special in the Branson community. Since clubs tend to meet once every two weeks, use this time to take a refreshing break from academic pressures.
With a diversity of options, there’s a club for every student to discover and enjoy at Branson. And, if you can’t find a club that suits your interests, you can always start your own! Be sure to attend the clubs fair on Thursday, Sept. 12, to sign up for the clubs that catch your eye!
