Welcome to Branson! We are so excited to welcome you to our vibrant and supportive community. This school year, the student body presidents are Imogen Brown ‘25 and Mo Jacoby ‘25. They are eager to guide you through your first year at Branson.
On campus, Brown is not only an active member of the Charity Club and the girls soccer team, but also a captain of both the girls track and cross country teams.
As for Jacoby, he has been a familiar name around Branson for nine years due to both his and his siblings’ enrollment at the school, so he has insight into “what has worked in the past and how [he] can help the school.” He is engaged in many communities around campus. He enjoys joining Movie Club meetings, is involved in the Jew Crew affinity space and is a leader of the Outdoor Adventure Club. You can also find him on Branson’s football and baseball teams.
Brown and Jacoby are both your leaders and your advocates. They represent your — the student body’s — ideas, goals and frustrations to the faculty and staff. They are also in charge of setting the example for the year by showing up and showing out at many, if not all, Branson events.
Adjusting to a new school can be challenging and may take time, but Brown wants you to know that “each and every one of you will find your place at Branson.”
“People change and you change,” Jacoby said. “You become friends with people two to three years later that you might never have expected.”
Jacoby said he is excited to “see what [he] can do to make people happier or have a better day.” This, along with Brown’s commitment to “be the person to bring energy to the student body, plan community bonding events and be a friendly face around campus,” promises a school year with lots of celebration and spirit.
Brown also had some advice to offer: She suggests you consider joining a sport. “Branson teams are incredibly inclusive and amazing spaces to make friends,” she said. And, if a sport isn’t in the cards for you, she added, “Join the play [or] a club. Getting involved is the best way to feel at home at Branson!”
