The boys varsity tennis team is finishing the season off strong, with the MCAL finals held on May 2 and NCS around two weeks after.

The team had a bye in the MCAL quarter-finals and played Marin Catholic in the MCAL semifinals, April 30, beating them 6-1.
At MCALs on May 2, the team played Redwood in Novato and narrowly lost 4-3.
“We’re second in the league right now, just behind Redwood,” said Gian-Carlo a Marca ‘28. “MC is really close to us, but it’s been a good season so far.”
NCS will consist of individuals chosen by the coach to play in a big bracket.
“The team is very strong this year and hopefully we make it far in NCS, having played some NCS teams already this season, like Lick and University,” said Jayden Patel ‘28.

April 30 was also senior day, with the team celebrating Chase Hoeveler, James Stovell, Leighton Fraser, Tyler Yang, Ishwar Jayaraman, Tommy Higgins and Noah Metzger.
“Senior day was fun, lots of energy, and the entire team showed up,” said Patel.
When asked what his favorite part about playing on this team was, a Marca said that he “enjoyed playing with [his] fellow freshmen and getting to know all the seniors.”
