Homecoming (Olivia Ritter)
How did you feel about Branson Homecoming this year?
Ethan Lee ’29: “I thought it was really fun. The energy was really good.”
Penelope Hull ’29: “I think it was good, but I think it is a little awkward being in the Small Gym because it is a tight space and everyone was outside anyway.”
Toby Walsh ’27: “It was definitely different from last year. I liked how it was in the small gym. I think the atmosphere outside was very interesting and fun. I would say the music was a little bit on the louder side. Maybe we could tone it back down a little so more people would go inside and dance.”
Hailey Sellers ‘27: “I personally had a lot of fun this year.”
Hayden Winslow ’28: “I thought it was pretty fun. I liked the bouncy house, even though it was raining. I think it brought a nice vibe to Homecoming.”
Kate Spaulding ’28: “It was fun.”
Nyanza Ngongoseke ’26: “It was cool. I really liked the Chipotle. I think people should have stayed longer for good music.”
Cooper Little ’26: “I thought it was very fruitful, and I had a fantastic time.”
What was your favorite thing about Homecoming?
Ethan Lee ’29: “I think just seeing everyone so united and having such good energy in the gym together.”
Penelope Hull ’29: “Spending time with my friends.”
Toby Walsh ’27: “My favorite thing about homecoming was seeing my two handsome men, Noah and Abe.”
Hailey Sellers ’27: “Dancing! There was a good group that was consistently dancing the whole
time, even though it was small at some points. I had a lot of fun.”
Hayden Winslow ’28: “I thought the food was really good. The Chipotle was a nice add to homecoming.”
Kate Spaulding ’28: “I enjoyed hanging out with my friends and dancing with others.”
Nyanza Ngongoseke ’26: “I appreciated the bouncy house, except that it was wet. If we had it indoors, I think that would have been cool.”
Cooper Little ’26: “I loved dancing with my friends, having a good time and enjoying the music!”
What is something you think Branson should do to make Homecoming better?
Ethan Lee ’29: “Nothing, I think it was good.”
Penelope Hull ’29: “Maybe make it in a different space because I think the gym is a little bit awkward.”
Toby Walsh ’27: “I think we should be able to invite people from outside of school. Our school is so small, and we have the room, so I think it would encourage people to really get to know each other.”
Hailey Sellers ’27: “I think something we experimented with this year was having some stuff outside, which was nice for some people who did not want to dance, but I think it kind of backfired because there were a lot of people standing outside.”
Hayden Winslow ’28: “I think moving it back to the commons would be better because I did not really like the Small Gym.”
Kate Spaulding ’28: “I do not know; it was pretty good.”
Nyanza Ngongoseke ’26: “I think we gotta open it up to other schools, and we have to have more [activities].”
Cooper Little ’26: “More girls from other schools…I’m just kidding; maybe a dry bouncy house and not wet.”
