For girls junior varsity volleyball, the third set proved the charm as it counted another roller-coaster win.

Back home from a three-set San Marin win last week, the team defeated Tamalpais in three sets Friday night. The 25-19, 15-25, 15-12 victory came down to a final set where a spate of service errors set Tamalpais back enough for Branson to clinch the set by three points.

“We were definitely capable of winning, and we really wanted to bring the energy in the third set,” Alexandra Sebastiani said. “It was nerve-wracking, but I think we pulled it together and really brought it.”

Only a couple more games will occur this season, and a few things remain in order for next week’s practice.

“We need to be not scared of hitting the ground and going for every ball,” Sebastiani added. “We had a lot of dropped balls and miscommunication. I think that was our only big spot of error.”
